Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride

Sign-up and Join us on September 30th, for the 5th Annual Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride. This ride is in honour of residential school survivors and their families and is in partnership with Victoria Orange Shirt Day. The event is free to encourage participation, however if you are able to provide a small donation when signing up, it will support bicycle education for First Nations children and youth and other Indigenous service projects. 

Where: Songhees Park

When: 9:30AM for coffee provide by Discovery Coffee and fruit provided by Country Grocer.

11:00AM Escorted ride to the South Island Powwow

12:00PM Arrive at South Island Powwow and Park in The Locker, a Free Secure Bicycle Valet

Reconciliation should not be about an apology nor should it be like a holiday or a birthday when we have a ceremony once a year. Reconciliation should be like a river continuous and always making changes. Eddy Charlie of Quw’utsun
